Our European allies are refusing to help the United States create a joint patrol of the Strait of Hormuz until they see an actual and lengthy cease-fire in Trump’s war with Iran.
Mr. Testosterone, the US Secretary of Defense, asked the UK and France to lead the coalition but his words are falling on deaf ears.
Since the United States are the aggressors against the Iran, our NATO allies have no allegiance or obligation to join in any form the Iran war.
The unqualified and overstimulated SecDef constantly scolding our closest allies over their immigration policies and their refusal to aid the US in their war hasn’t endeared him to them.
Politico is reporting “Hegseth floated the patrol idea during a call with Streeting on Friday, according to one British official. The person said the conversation focused on how the U.K. and U.S. can bring allies together to support American defense, rather than backing offensive strikes on Iran.”
The UK, as well as France and every other European ally will not join in any US offensive against Iran.
However, the world does have an interest in opening up the Strait because Donald’s war is causing a global energy crisis.
If the US does come to a meaningful ceasefire with Iran, it is possible the allies will help set up a naval patrol, but that possibility seems unlikely at this point.
