Another ‘big victory’ in the MSM that did not materialize.
Lately, we see a tendency by Kiev regime leader Volodymyr Zelensky and his Globalist backers (Emmanuel Macron, Friedrich Merz, NATO’s Mark Rutte) to take what probably amounted to evasive answers by US President Donald J. Trump and turn it into wholehearted promises.
The supposed new Trump support for Ukraine in the war, so far, amounted to meetings and photo-ops.
That appears to be exactly the case with the much advertised and celebrated ‘decision’ to license Ukraine Patriot air defense missiles.
This was lauded in the MSM as something that would imminently tip the scales of the war – despite the fact that even if everything progressed rapidly, it would take two, maybe three years to start producing these.
It also doesn’t hurt pointing out that no amount of air defense missiles will help Kiev on the seemingly impossible task of conquering back the 20% of territory now incorporated by Russia.

But after all the hoopla, Trump has told FT that he has not decided whether to allow Ukraine to produce Patriot surface-to-air interceptor missiles.
Financial Times reported:
“The US president said in a phone interview with the FT on Thursday that he was ‘not sure’ whether Washington would grant Ukraine a license to produce Patriot missiles, adding that ‘we’re looking at it’.
‘It’s a very extraordinary weapon, and we have to be a little bit careful of who we license to. We don’t really license equipment’.”
Trump refuted Zelensky’s claim that Ukraine will be licensed to produce Patriot interceptor missiles, saying he wasn’t sure if they would do it:

Ukraine needs the Patriot air-defense system to try to intercept Russian ballistic missiles targeting its cities.
“Persuading Trump to consider allowing Kiev to produce the missiles represents a significant achievement for Zelensky”, FT writes.
So, now, it’s not actually getting the license, building the factory and finally the missiles that is the ‘achievement’ – it’s getting Trump to even consider it.
“Following the White House meeting on Tuesday [28], Zelensky said Trump ‘accepted that he will give us licenses.’ Zelenskyy added that he had recently met producers of the Patriot system: ‘I had [a] meeting with the representatives of production. I hope that we will do co-production. This is very important’.”
“Very simply put, we want the war in Ukraine with Russia ended. I’m not looking for missiles. We’re looking for peace.” DJT
