Let’s Start Talking Republican

With newfound time for ideas given the COVID world we now occupy, an idea came to me after viewing “Knock Down The House”.  In the Netflix documentary, many Democratic House of Congress campaigns, were helped by a progressive organizing campaign  – a political action committee – “Brand New Congress”. Their organization provides resources like: informational training sessions, volunteers, and political canvassers that work their congressional district.

So what right?

Well, their ability to recruit, train, and aid newcomers vying for political office led to the their party’s eventual success in turning the House of Representative blue. It was not the stagnant Democratic incumbents who were viewed as ‘too old for the times’, it was the younger generation itching for a more representative Congress.

These behind the scenes ‘campaign helpers’ generate an energy with different types of coalitions aggressively loyal to specific candidates and ideas. PACs that recruit the working class into office share in the crowd of other Democratic leaning organizations, too. Some, which include: She Should Run, Run For Something, Emerge America, Swing Left., and Brand New Congress. They empower working class individuals or simply put, just non-politicians, to run for political office, and through their efforts able to control votes and an active political base for years to come in every level of government.

Regardless of political beliefs, the ethos of seeing yourself through a candidate is quite powerful, and the phrase ‘newcomer to politics’, ‘untainted by career politicians’ nowadays yields substantive positive votes. Who doesn’t like to see true representative of the modern day gracefully running for local political office. The spirit created by these types of candidates, led by real people for real actions, has the opportunity to move a nation – or a Congress to another color… Yet, without an organizational campaigning group, this future remains impossible for the Republican party. And in a macroscopic point, without an adaptable GOP that accounts for new voices, then not only will the party will remain more distant for generations to come, but the reputation of stagnation will come with it.

So, does a group exist that enables fresh, intelligent Republican individuals to run for local political office? Nope. My search engine floods with left leaning organizations willing to help someone run for Congress, but nothing solely right-leaning. There’s no group that provides the ability for fresh individuals to truly make a change. Instead, they are kept as staff members. The next generation of politicians unable to deem their future as leaders.

In summation, there is no current supported organization that solely helps campaign right leaning political newcomers for gubernatorial and congressional office . Yes, the GOP website has online resources, but certainty nothing that helps in the physical campaigning of local, working class candidates, candidates that would not only help generate more energy for the party, be the new face of the party, and become candidates that can get action done. People out there want to run, they have great ideas that people would support, but without resources they stick to the status quo, and nothing stays forever.
