During a press conference on Friday, Rep. Sylvia Garcia (D-TX) attacked ICE agents, claiming that they should not be able to defend themselves when criminals and illegal aliens attack them.
Garcia spoke at the press conference, demanding accountability for the death of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, an illegal alien from Mexico who tried to run over ICE agents during a traffic stop, and was fatally shot after ramming an ICE vehicle.
When she wasn’t accusing DHS of lying about the suspect using his car as a deadly weapon, Garcia was arguing that it didn’t matter if he did.
“Apparently, ICE has learned nothing,” she said, referencing past fatal shootings of violent leftists and illegals who attempted to murder agents.
She continued, “If they really think that a car is going to hurt somebody, I mean, even a kid would tell you, you shoot the tires, you don’t shoot the driver.”
Garcia further claimed that being killed by ICE “could happen to any of us. “You know, I’m guera,” she said, using a term that references White characteristics.
“They may not stop me, but they probably might stop some of my friends,” she added.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Garcia hosted the press conference alongside Rep. Al Green (D-TX), activist groups, and an attorney for the Araujo family.
Al Green came out during the press conference claiming that Araujo “should not receive any less attention from the Constitution that I or any of you would receive,” and that Americans have an “obligation” to protect illegal aliens.
